This year, SPARKS Hebrew School is excited to introduce a new middle school curriculum with Rabbi Avi designed to help students explore Judaism in a deeper, more meaningful, and relevant way.
Through thoughtful discussions, engaging conversations, and connections to real-life experiences, students will explore Jewish ideas, values, traditions, and teachings while developing a stronger connection to their Jewish identity.
Throughout the year, students will enjoy three special trips that bring learning beyond the classroom, strengthen friendships, and create meaningful Jewish memories together.
JewQ International Torah Championship
As part of this new curriculum, our middle school students will participate in the JewQ International Torah Championship, joining thousands of Jewish students from around the world in building a strong foundation of Jewish knowledge.
Students will receive the JewQ Book, an engaging resource covering important areas of Jewish learning, including Torah, holidays, mitzvot, Jewish history, and traditions. Throughout the year, students will study the material, participate in three fun and challenging tests, and celebrate their progress along the way.
Students who achieve a 70% or higher average across all three tests will have the opportunity to attend the CKids Shabbaton, where they will be recognized for their accomplishments and the top students will have the chance to compete in the JewQ International Championship.
Our goal is to create a middle school experience where students feel inspired to ask questions, engage in meaningful conversations, strengthen their Jewish knowledge, and build lasting connections with their Judaism and their community.
